Local media agencies reported that Prapan Thammachai, rector of Chiang Mai Rajabhat University, together with two vice-rectors, took a nine-day trip abroad, starting with China before flying to three countries in Europe, from March 17-29 in 2014 in what was supposed to be a study trip. Also travelling with them were members of the university council.
