» Last Saturday saw many fans and film lovers from everywhere gather from morning to evening in front of Scala Theatre, Bangkok's last stand-alone cinema and the magnificent architectural icon of the Siam Square area. People stood in line for hours to buy advance tickets for the farewell programmes in the "La Scala" event organised in conjunction with the Thai Film Archive, which will take place on Saturday and Sunday before the movie theatre closes its doors for good after serving Thai cinemagoers for more than half-a-century.

» Last Saturday was the 10th annual Record Store Day, an international event held to celebrate and support local independent record stores. This year, at Thong Lor’s hip Bungkumhouse Records, female indie rock trio Yellow Fang marked the day with the special release of their new single “Kae Peang (If Only).” In honour of the occasion, the band released a limited edition 7-inch vinyl, with only 300 copies printed.

» Less than a month on from the hugely successful Cat Expo, the party animals at Cat Radio were back to entertain music lovers once again with their annual t-shirt festival. This was the fourth year of the event and to celebrate, Cat Radio gave it the special title Cat T-Shirt 4 Happy Birthday. The two-day festival took place on the weekend of April 1-2 at Makkasan Airport Link station.
