» Bangkok, December 4, 2023 – PTT Exploration and Production Public Company Limited (PTTEP) and PTTEP Energy Development Company Limited supported and joined Thailand Oil Spill Preparedness & Response Training and Workshop aimed to equip all relevant parties with effective response in case of emergency incidents. This training was hosted by the Marine Department with supports from several agencies, including Thai Maritime Enforcement Command Center, the Royal Thai Navy, the Department of Mineral Fuels, the Pollution Control Department, the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation, the Oil Industry Environmental Safety Group Association (IESG) and related government agencies and private sectors.

Oil Spill Incident at the Single Buoy Mooring (SBM-2)

» Thai Oil Public Company Limited (the “Company”), reports that the oil spill incident near the Single Buoy Mooring (SBM-2) has been successfully resolved. The latest aerial and maritime surveys conducted in the morning of September 7, 2023, revealed no remaining oil residue. Given the current controlled situation, the Royal Thai Navy has issued an order to close the Command Centre of Oil Spill Response, 1st Naval Area Command. However, continuous monitoring and oil residue inspections will persist, along with the preparation of personnel and equipment in case of any future oil residue discovery.

MEA organises meeting to clarify the underground power cable project in Thon Buri area

» Mr. Thitiwut Ngenklai, Director of Metropolitan Electricity Authority (MEA) Project Management, chaired the meeting to clarify the overhead-to-underground cable conversion project along four routes i.e. Arun Amarin, Somdet Phra Pin Klao, Phran Nok and Wang Lang roads. Representatives from corporate, private and public sectors in the areas were invited to hear details of the operational plans and exchange ideas on the possible impacts during the construction. The meeting was held under strict Covid-19 screening measures and ATK testing on 10 August 2022 at the Royal Thai Navy Convention Hall, Arun Amarin.
