» The recent print ad by local agency BBDO for the Thai Health Promotion Foundation warns those who think wearing a crash helmet while riding a motorcycle is optional by scaring them with frightening images. The ads show crash helmets made of a scalped human head to drive home the point that in the case of an asphalt road versus a human head, the former generally wins. We just hope that reckless motorcyclists and their passengers will choose to wear crash helmets every time so their scalps (and other bloody bits) won't end up on the road when accidents happen.

» The 25 candidates for the position of Bangkok governor were announced last week and some placards and posters have already been put up around the city. What we are likely to also see is the extra lengths candidates will go to in order to garner people's attention and support before the election takes place on March 3. But we're talking about more than grilling bananas or driving a bus here. We've done some research on the most attention-grabbing tactics candidates for Bangkok governor have used in the Kingdom (leave it to us Thais to put a light-hearted spin on everything).
