» A platform for insightful discourse on education, health, and social development took centre stage at the InterContinental Bangkok, where Asia’s 4th Amartya Sen Lecture convened on 6th March 2025. Hosted by former Prime Minister Anand Panyarachun, the event featured renowned Thai social innovator Mechai Viravaidya and Dr Ravi Kannan, Director of the Cachar Cancer Hospital and Research Centre, with Nobel laureate Prof Amartya Sen joining via video link from Boston. Moderated by Joe Horn-Phathanothai, CEO of Strategy613, the lecture, titled Dialogue with Development Maverick Mechai Viravaidya on Spreading Consciousness in Education and Health, explored groundbreaking approaches to public health and education.
