» The atmosphere at the Jim Thompson Art Center is seemingly intimidating. Two larger-than-life rifles stand threateningly tall. In a 24-channel video installation, entitled The Game, we see military-clad twin brothers on a motorcycle, rifles in hands.

» Aside from "Journey Of 999 Elephants" -- an exhibition in which 999 artists joined to paint 999 exact same models of elephants that are now strewn everywhere from CentralWorld, Zen, on the BTS Skywalk over Ratchaprasong intersection and on the second floor leading to the entrance of Central Chidlom to Central Embassy -- the highlight of the capital's art scene this month is "Galleries' Night", which is taking place this Friday and Saturday.

» It seems that terms like “Thainess” and khon dee (good person) have lately become retrograde, even repulsive, concepts to some people. They speak of “Thainess” as if it were an antiquated personality trait that is holding us back and “khon dee” is looked upon with a sneer, as if trying to make someone a good person will automatically rid him or her of all liberal leanings.
