Jobs gone wrong

» Work can be a pain in the ass (well, provided you actually have to work for a living). Not only do we have to wake up at an ungodly hour every morning, we're expected to put on pants, brave traffic and/or smelly commuters, suck up to the boss, deal with other people, and actually get stuff done on a daily basis. And on top of all that... we're expected to maintain an air of professionalism the whole way through!

» Paradai "Duke" Theerathada, 40, is the executive vice-president of Corporate Communications Group for TMB Bank, which oversees both commercial and social campaigns. "Fai-Fah", which he helped form, is a programme that empowers children by teaching them art and other important skills. It began three years ago and now has three centres on Chan, Pracha Uthit and Pradiphat Roads. Duke also initiated another social campaign called "Make The Difference Society" (www.makethedifference.org, facebook.com/makeTHEdifferencesociety), which also has an application of the same name that runs on iPhone and Android phones. It allows you to create a personal goal, set a date by which you think you will complete it, and share it with other people. Until Jan 28, you can set a goal and garner "cheer" from people for a chance to win a prize to help make it happen.

Double Lives

» Not everything is what it seems when it comes to defining someone by their occupation. For example, Itthipat Kulapongvanich made some serious cash by selling online game items before he became the CEO of seaweed enterprise Taokaenoi. Pleum Leekpai is the energetic, funny and politically incorrect co-host of TV show VRZO but he also wore a tie and looked professional during his time as an assistant to a Ministry of Culture spokesperson. And even Superman works as a reporter named Clark Kent when he isn't fighting villains and saving the world.
