Triumphant Thara

Guru, Pimchanok Phungbun Na Ayudhya, Published on 20/03/2015

» Tawanna Thara has no recipe for success. After graduating from Chulalongkorn University, the creative director of Thea by Thara (www.theabythara.com, fb.com/Theabythara, IG: @theabythara) flew to the Big Apple to attend the prestigious Parsons The New School for Design and the Fashion Institute of Technology. Taking advantage of the experience she gained in the fashion industry, Tawanna, then age 26, started her eponymous clothing line, Thara, collections of which were sold in over 30 boutique stores in the US, the UK and Dubai. After returning to Bangkok in 2012, she debuted Thea by Thara, a sister brand showcasing a fusion of New York minimal coolness and feminine delicacy. Currently, Thea by Thara has five outlets in the city and expansions in Singapore, Indonesia and China.
