A 26-year-old thug released early from prison "for good behaviour" attacked, stabbed and slashed a man to death -- to steal his mobile phone. The top bureaucrat at the Ministry of Justice, permanent secretary Chanchao Chaiyanukij, says that next time the iPhone killer should not be released early. This is an unacceptable response to a murder that could and should have been prevented.
