» Haven’t we all used Facebook to complain about something we see as wrong at some stage? There are some Facebook pages created and dedicated to raising awareness on improper behaviour in public places that you may not be aware of. Check them out in case you want to share your frustration, see what not to do so you won’t end up on one of these pages, or at least get a laugh out of them.

» There was a fuss made recently over a report that a company planned to organise Songkran celebrations in Singapore. Like a motorcycle taxi’s seat pre-heated by the April midday sun, this prompted some Thais to be extra protective of what they considered exclusive to Thailand. However, we need not worry about anyone copying our Songkran since we have many elements that are so inimitable that no other country would be able to (or want to) recreate them. In honour of the upcoming Thai New Year, we present you with all the things that make Songkran uniquely Thai.

» New Year’s is time to look back at what has happened during the year that is about to pass. The media usually takes this opportunity to do a round-up of memorable moments. As an esteemed publication ourselves, we decided to do our very own recapping of 2013 (and because we’re too lazy to go out and find new stories). The year hasn’t been a thoroughly smooth ride but we were certainly never bored. Bye-bye, 2013!

» The recent fight between BTS security guards and an Irish man over his daughter's balloons at Phrom Phong station produced one good thing. It's now etched in people's minds (probably for the first time) that innocent balloons are forbidden within the Skytrain system because they are inflammable and, therefore, considered a threat to passenger safety. There goes our plan to suck in helium and talk funny to pass time on the train.
