» Reference is made to the continuous gathering of workers along Sukhumvit Road in front of Thaioil’s Refinery in Si Racha District, Chonburi Province, which began on 24 July 2024, due to non-payment by the subcontractors of the Unincorporated Joint Venture of Samsung E&A (Thailand) Co., Ltd., Petrofac South East Asia Pte. Ltd., and Saipem Singapore Pte. Ltd. (“UJV – Samsung, Petrofac, and Saipem”).

Joint Venture Payment Dispute Leaves Workers Unpaid

» From 24 July 2024 to the present, workers have continuously gathered along Sukhumvit Road in front of Thaioil’s refinery in Si Racha District, Chonburi Province, due to non-payment by contractors. Initially, the gathered workers were employees not paid by their employers: One Turn Ten Company Limited ("One Turn Ten"), EMCO LTD (Thailand) Company Limited ("EMCO"), and Thai Fong Engineering and Construction Company Limited ("Thai Fong"), who are subcontractors of Sinopec Engineering Group (Thailand) Co., Ltd. ("Sinopec").

MEA Marks 66th Anniversary with Sustainable Energy Theme

» Wilas Chaloeysat, Governor of the MEA (Metropolitan Electricity Authority), stated, “On the auspicious occasion of the MEA’s 66th anniversary on 1 August 2024, MEA hosted the '66th Year: To be Sustainable Energy Utility' event to promote decarbonisation.” Under the eco-friendly theme, the venue was decorated with waste-free materials, and there was an exhibition zone featuring “good soil and unspoiled water to a happy life with sustainability.” The event also supported fundraising, donating 328,700 baht to the Seub Nakhasathien Foundation and 378,800 baht to the Foundation of the Welfare of the Cripple under the Royal Patronage of HRH the Princess. Participants also contributed by purchasing products from the Mae Fah Luang Foundation.

» There are only a few weeks left until the grand event of the year in Buriram province, the celebration in honour of Commemorating the Sixth-Cycle (72nd) Birthday Anniversary Of His Majesty King. Another major highlight of the event is the musical performance titled "The Breath of the Land." All parties involved, especially the students from Buriram Province, have dedicated themselves and practised hard for more than two months to express their gratitude for His Majesty's great kindness and demonstrate their loyalty.
