» Phitsanulok, Thailand – Mr. Phusit Somchit, Governor of Phitsanulok Province, and Ms. Chortip Salyapongse, Director of the Plant Protection Research and Development Office (PPRD) at the Department of Agriculture, recently presided over the opening ceremony of Bayer's new Inspection & Quality Control Building for Bayer’s Vegetable and Corn Seed Production in Phitsanulok. The event, held on September 17, 2024, was attended by local government officials, including Ms. Nongyao Korkanruad, Director of BOI Area 7 (Phitsanulok), Ms. Papassorn Wattanakulpakin, Director of the Phitsanulok Seed Research and Development Center, along with Mr. Weraphon Charoenpanit, Country Commercial Lead for Thailand, Cambodia, and Myanmar at Bayer Thai Co., Ltd., Bangla Bose, Head of APAC Product Supply, and Mr. Mark Nash, Vegetable Seeds Product Supply Tomato Crop Family Lead, as well as some Bayer employees.

» At a press conference held by the Information Office of the State Council on September 11, Li Fei, Chinese Vice Minister of Commerce, said that the China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) has been held for 20 sessions, and it can be said that rich experience has been accumulated and productive results achieved. The expo now serves as an important platform for China and ASEAN member states to carry out further far-reaching economic and trade cooperation in more fields at deeper levels. For example, featured products including Vietnam’s G7 Coffee, Malaysia’s Musang King durians, Thailand’s jasmine rice, and Laos’ beer have entered the Chinese market over the years through the CAEXPO, which are well received by Chinese consumers.
