» On Monday, the Royal Thai Navy defended its controversial purchase of two Chinese submarines at a humungous price tag of B22.5 billion (that's 11-digits, if you're wondering). The purchase incited online backlash for its inopportune timing, given the severe impact of Covid-19 on the economy. Not to mention, speculation of good ole corruption synonymous with a procurement project.

» After selling out the show in five minutes, Thailand's legendary boy band D2B stormed the Impact Arena Muang Thong Thani on Saturday for its latest D2B Infinity Concert 2019. The band's members Worrawech "Dan" Danuwong and Kawee "Beam" Tanjararak took to the stage for their big show. And they didn't disappoint in a concert that lasted over three hours where they sang, danced, cracked jokes, made mistakes and laughed about it with fans who have known and loved them since their debut in 2001.

» I doubt there can be anyone in Thailand who does not have personal experience of the endemic corruption at all levels of government and officialdom, whether it be 200 baht paid to a policeman for speeding or some other imagined driving offence, to a thousand baht or more demanded by a bureaucrat to expedite a simple government transaction.
