» ‘This is my favourite room!” exclaimed teamLab member Takashi Kudo as he led us through a maze of hanging crystal lights. With the LEDs glimmering and dancing around us like stars, it felt like we were drifting through a cosmic universe. Taking out his phone, Kudo, with a swipe of his finger, suddenly made it rain. White lights trickled down from the hanging crystal strips mimicking raindrops, changing the atmosphere completely. It was a jaw-dropping experience, but the gorgeous display of light and sound was just the tip of the iceberg.

Known for their dark, intense and ferocious music like The Hand That Feeds, Only and Survivalism, the band has won two Grammy's for Best Metal Performance and have sold over 30 million records worldwide. When they didn't obstruct Thai artist Vassan Sittiket's retrospective that included artworks criticising Thai society, things started to look even more hopeful. The BACC, about to celebrate its 10th anniversary, kept pushing the envelope, and the government didn't react like it normally would.

» Madsaki's artworks are stupid. Stupid of course, in the best cackle-inducing way possible. In his latest solo exhibition "Combination Platter" (situated on the ground floor of Ploenchit's Central Embassy), Leonardo da Vinci's 16th-century masterpiece Salvador Mundi is now a beady-eyed Jesus. And Picasso's US$155 million (4.9 billion baht) Le Rêve -- instead of a tranquil woman napping peacefully on a sofa, she now has giant black button eyes and a dumb smile to match. Honestly, they're even more entertaining to look at than the originals.
