บริษัท ท่าอากาศยานไทย จำกัด (มหาชน) แจ้งว่าตั้งแต่วันที่ 17 ก.ค.58 เวลา 12.00 น.เป็นต้นไป ท่าอากาศยานดอนเมือง จะทำการปรับเพิ่มมาตรการการรักษาความปลอดภัย ด้วยการตรวจค้นและเอกซเรย์กระเป๋า สัมภาระของผู้โดยสารทุกชิ้นที่นำเข้าไปในพื้นที่เช็กอิน ทั้งนี้ เพื่อเป็นการป้องกันการแทรกแซงโดยมิชอบด้วยกฎหมาย การปรับเพิ่มมาตรการดังกล่าว อาจทำให้เกิดความล่าช้าได้ โดยแนะให้ผู้โดยสารภายในประเทศเผื่อเวลาก่อน 2 ชั่วโมงครึ่ง และผู้โดยสารระหว่างประเทศเผื่อเวลาก่อน 3 ชั่วโมงครึ่ง.
