U.S. Embassy Bangkok Media Unit led a group of Thai media aboard on the USS Blue Ridge on May 10. The USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19), the amphibious command ship of the United States Navy 7th Fleet, is scheduled to visit to Sattahip Naval Base, Chonburi from May 10 - 13. The port visit will give about 1,000 crew members of the USS Blue Ridge and the 7th Fleet staffs the opportunity to experience the culture and hospitality of Thailand. During this port visit, the USS Blue Ridge crews will conduct two community service projects at the Pattaya Orphanage and the Child Protection and Development Center at Hua Yai on Monday, May 12, 2014.
