Published caption : While climbing the so-called Staircase of Fame, which links the ground and first floors, take a few moments to inspect the collection of awards and trophies received for their work by various Thai actors and directors who subsequently donated them to the museum. Among the gongs is the very first Phra Saraswati Award ever given out. Established in 1957, this honour is reserved for artists working in the film industry and is regarded as being the Thai equivalent of an Oscar.
