Published caption : Many people like beef or pork barbecued Korean style, but if you visit Chuncheon you should try the barbecued chicken. Pieces of marinated chicken are brought to the table with a variety of kimchi side-dishes and fresh vegetables. Diners cook the chicken themselves by placing it over pre-heated river stones which are kept hot by a table-top grill. You wrap a piece of cooked meat in raw vegetables, sprinkle some garlic on top and pop the lot into your mouth. The texture of the chicken is soft and juicy and it tastes even better when washed down with some local beer.
