Published caption : Wolmido Park is the largest green area on the popular recreational island near Incheon. Go for a stroll along one of the trails here and you’re likely to encounter lots of joggers as well as locals dressed in full hiking outfits carrying enough gear for much longer expeditions. There’s a purpose-built lookout tower here, too, a five-storey structure with an open-air observation platform at the very top which offers panoramic views of Incheon and its docks. One of the highlights of the park is a traditional decorative garden designed to replicate one from the period when Korea was ruled by kings from the Joseon dynasty (1392-1897). Within its precincts is a traditional Korean house where visitors can try on hanbok, traditional Korean attire which comes in a variety of styles and colours ranging from garments once reserved for members of the royal family to everyday garb worn by commoners. The garden zone also features a sample paddy field and a display of tools once used for farming.
