เจ้าหน้าที่ตำรวจควบคุมตัว นาย ประพันธ์ ศรีพิลัย ผู้ต้องหาตามหมายจับ 163/2556 ก่อเหตุยิง นายสุชาติ โคตรทุม ปลัด อบจ.ขอนแก่น เสียชีวิต เมื่อวันที่ 3 พ.ค.2556 โดยภายหลังผู้ต้องหาได้ไปหลบซ่อนตัวที่จังหวัดชลบุรี เจ้าหน้าที่ติดตามจับกุมตัวมาได้ในที่สุด ทังนี้ยังมีผู้อื่นที่เกี่ยวข้องในคดีซึ่งเจ้าหน้าที่อยู่ระหว่างการสืบสวนสอบสวน ที่สำนักงานตำรวจแห่งชาติ Published Caption : Prapan Sripilai, 41, arrives at the Royal Thai Police Office for questioning in connection with the murder of Suchart Khotthum, 53, chief administrator of the Khon Kaen Provincial Administration Organisation.
