เจ้าหน้าที่ฝ่ายจัดสถานที่เข้าจัดเตรียมพื้นที่สำหรับวโรกาสที่สมเด็จพระสันตะปาปาฟรังซิสเสด็จเยือนประเทศไทยอย่างเป็นทางการ ในวันที่ 20-23 พฤศจิกายนนี้ โดยได้มีการนำกางเขนขนาดใหญ่ สูง 11.50 เมตร กว้าง  6.20 เมตร ที่ถูกสั่งทำและออกแบบเป็นพิเศษนำมาติดตั้งบนสนาม รวมทั้งการติดตั้งเวทีที่ใช้สำหรับประกอบพิธีมิซซา ภายในสนามศุภชลาสัย ก่อนที่จะมีการใช้พื้นที่สำหรับการซ้อมใหญ่ทั้งพิธีและการแสดงในวันที่ 20 พฤศจิกายนนี้ โดยจากพระแท่นจะมีพรมสีแดงวางลาดยาวมุ่งหน้าสู่กางเขนขนาดใหญ่ เป็นการสื่อความหมายว่าชีวิตของเราที่มีจุดหมายปลายทางคือพระเยซูคริสต์ซึ่งปรัมพิธีที่ถูกจัดสร้างขึ้นนี้เป็นรูปแบบเดียวกับปรัมพิธีที่ใช้ในการต้องรับพระสันตะปาปายอห์น ปอล ที่ 2 ที่เสด็จมาประเทศไทยเมื่อ 35 ปีที่แล้ว ++++++++++++++ Published caption:: Symbol of faith...A large golden 11.5-metre high cross stands above the National Stadium in Bangkok where a Mass celebrated by Pope Francis will be held this  Thursday. The event is part of   activities being organised for the visit of Pope Francis from tomorrow until Saturday. He is also scheduled to lead a Mass at Assumption Cathedral in Bangkok’s Bang Rak district on Friday. It is the second time the   country has been visited by the leader of the Roman Catholic Church.
