With the help of a network for crime victims called Campaigns for Justice in Society, she lodged a complaint with the CSD accusing her French ex-boyfriend of assault, resulting in her falling from the fifth floor of a building and becoming disabled. The ex-boyfriend told police she had jumped from the building on her own. As the ex-boyfriend still works for several well-known night clubs, she was afraid she might not be treated fairly in the investigation being conducted by local police.
