Attractions in Setouchi, Seto Inland Sea: A wooden boat ride along Kurashiki River isa popular tourist activity in the Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter in Okayama Prefecture.Along the route, you will see riverbanks lined with willow trees. Picturesque traditional houses with white walls and Japanese shophouses also line the banks. Some of the buildings are converted into restaurants, galleries, shops and hotels.One boat can accommodate up to six passengers.The cruise takes about 20 minutes and theservice is priced at 500 yen for adults and 250 yens for kids. If you want to look more like locals, you can rent a kimono or yukata before taking the boat cruise. An alternative is to ride a rickshaw.
