On the way down the mountain, westopped several times to take pictures. At certain spots, like this small waterfallby the roadside, we couldn’t help but takean extended break. Because of our limitedtime, we were forced to skip a larger fallscalled Namtok Ton Ton Mak, which requireda trek down into a valley. The sticks leftbehind by previous visitors who hadused them as walking poles indicatedthe steepness of the trail. In the lowlandsnot far from Phu Ta Jo, there are two hotsprings, Plai-Poo and Rommanee, whereyou can give your journey a soothing finish.
