Lampang: Dream Destination.Ban Pa Miang is located in tambonChae Son, Muang Pan, about 90kmnorth of Muang Lampang. It wasnamed after the miang grown bymost families there. Visitors canvisit tea (miang) and Arabica coffeeplantations and see local villagerscollecting miang leaves, tying andsteaming the leaves in an old stylefrom May until December. Eachvillager can collect between 10and 30kg of miang leaves per day.Each small pack of steamed miangleaves is sold for 20 baht. Touristscan observe coffee collection fromNovember until January. Popularsouvenirs from Ban Pa Miang aremiang tea, miang soap, miang-leafpillows and coffee beans. FromFebruary until mid-March, the villagewill be seen standing in a whitevalley filled with blooming dok sieo(orchid tree flowers).
