Residents of mountainous areas in Khanom district have been living in fear since a landslide last week sent down dozens of rocks and mud on their villages. Thursday’s landslide was triggered by days of heavy rains and was 15 to 20 metres wide over a 7km stretch. The landslide damaged many houses and more than 300 rai of rubber plantations in Ban Klong Leng.
