Ban Pin Railway Station in Long district isanother unique station. It was designed likea Bavarian timbre-frame house, a reminderof German engineers’ contribution to theconstruction of the Kingdom’s northern railway.Unlike the one in Mae Phuak, which is about35.6km to the southeast, it is well preservedand still a fully-functioning station. Originally,as shown in the old black and white photo,which is one of the several exhibited at thestation, the platform’s roof which obstructs theview of the building was non-existent.
