กลุ่มเครือข่ายประชาชนเพื่อรับสวัสดิการ ขับเคลื่อนระบบบำนาญแห่งชาติ นำโดย นางสาวสุรีรัตน์ ตรีมรรคา ผู้ประสานงานเครือข่ายประชาชนเพื่อรัฐสวัสดิการ ประมาณ 300 คน ได้รวมตัวกันจัดกิจกรรมรดน้ำสงกรานต์แก่ผู้สุงอายุที่บริเวณประตู 5 ตรงข้ามกระทรวงศึกษา หลังจากนั้นได้เดินรณรงค์ต่อสาธารณะ ให้เห็นความสำคัญ ของการเตรียมตัวเข้าสู่สังคมสูงวัย ด้วยการเสนอให้ประเทศ จัดระบบบำนาญแห่งชาติ เพื่อเตรียมการรองรับด้านรายได้ให้แก่ผู้สูงวัย และยื่นหนังสือถึง พล.อ.ประยุทธ์ จันทร์โอชา นายกรัฐมนตรีเพื่อขอให้สนับสนุน ให้มีการจัดบำนาญพื้นฐานถ้วนหน้า และมอบพานบายศรีวันสงกรานต์ และวันผู้สูงอายุไทย ต่อนายกรัฐมนตรี ที่ศูนย์รับเรื่องราวร้องทุกข์ทำเนียบรัฐบาล Consumer activists representing the People’s Network for a Welfare State pour water on palms of the elderly near  Government House to mark National Ageing Day which falls this Wednesday.
