Published caption : Kasornkasivit School is where visitors can learn more about rice farming and observe water buffaloes. Initiated by Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, the executive chairperson of the Chaipattana Foundation, the 110 rai school opened in March 2009 for training buffaloes on how to plough and perform other tasks on farmland, while also teaching farmers on how to work with the buffaloes, as well as on how to manage their farm following His Majesty the King’s sufficiency economy philosophy. For visitors, the school provides the knowledge of traditional agricultural practices and gives them a chance to try farming tools. The school (call 037-435-058) is open daily and located on Highway 33, about 7km before reaching Muang district of Sa Kaeo. There is no entrance fee.
