    Change for the better

Life, Prapai Kraisornkovit, Published on 24/05/2012

» Last Saturday, a large rally of around 45,000 red shirts at Ratchaprasong intersection marked the 2010 military crackdown that left 91 dead. The gathering sent a strong message, a call for a national reconciliation. If such a thing is possible, it will greatly benefit the country's long term peace. It will certainly be a "change for the better." But it would need ample time and many sacrifices from all parties.

» My son is getting married this month. His love story started with two young people who met through mutual friends. They moved apart in pursuit of their dreams. One ventured to America while the other explored higher education in Thailand. The pair kept in touch by email and internet chat. Years later, they met again. They reconnected and kindled a new light in each other.

    A new definition of determination

Life, Prapai Kraisornkovit, Published on 04/12/2012

» When she was little, my daughter loved a talking blue cat. This very special feline came from the future and his name was Doraemon. The cat lived with a little wimpy boy who had a habit of getting into sticky situations. So to rescue his master and save the day, Doraemon used amazing gadgets and inventions that he pulled from a magical pocket. To my daughter, Doraemon was a superhero. It didn't register in her mind that her hero was a robotic cat without ears or claws. My son was no different. He too idolised Doraemon.

    A design that flops

Life, Prapai Kraisornkovit, Published on 05/04/2013

» There is a common joke among my foreign friends. How many seasons are there in Bangkok? Three _ hot, really hot and hot like hell. I've lived in Bangkok all my life and I agree that the weather is hot and humid all year round. But hot like hell is a bit of an exaggeration. If it is true, then the devil has met his match in the City of Angels.

The perfect flight? It's all about attitude

Life, Prapai Kraisornkovit, Published on 16/05/2013

» Why is it that airline commercials always show images of smiling, comfortable people with perfect travelling experiences when in reality such things are as rare as a unicorn _ especially when you fly economy-class on a long-haul route.
