    Borderless cuisine

Guru, Eric E Surbano, Published on 03/08/2018

» Barely more than two weeks old, Cali-Mex Bar & Grill has a pretty interesting story. Its owner, Jeff Moss, is Australian and the restaurant started in Hong Kong. Three years later, Cali-Mex had 20 outlets all over Hong Kong, and fortunately for us Bangkokians, they decided to make their first international venture in the Big Mango. The entire place gives off an inviting atmosphere, subconsciously telling you to invite your friends to come over, gather at the table and hang over a good meal.

» There's beauty in things that do what they are meant to do well. In the case of crystals, let's get straight to its main function: to sparkle, dazzle and bring a touch of brilliance to its wearer. Never mind that it's not a precious stone, because the splendour of crystal jewellery pieces these days is no less impressive than that of their fine jewellery counterparts. If anything, Swarovski's annual regional gala at Kuala Lumpur last month was a star-studded indication that crystals can be just as glamorous and bedazzling, despite their roots of mimicry.
