The Paris-based inter-governmental group placed Thailand on a shortlist of countries generally identified as havens for money laundering. The FATF listed Thailand along with the likes of Nigeria, Myanmar and Bolivia as a friendly, welcoming nation for drug traffickers, white-collar criminals, terrorists and other outlaws. Few people would recognise Thailand as such a country _ because there is much less to this disturbing report than meets the eye.
