ยป In 1986, I went on a trip to China and stopped in Macau to visit a friend. He introduced me to an American teacher who had spent 15 years teaching in Ghana and Nigeria. Over dinner, he casually said that he'd picked up a "few records" while he was in West Africa and that I could make some cassette tapes if I wanted to.
