Gunkul Engineering Public Company Limited, a large Thai electricity producer and distributor, is a Thai power generating enterprise that has succeeded in investing in Japan, in its case, thanks to financial support from Mizuho, a giant Japanese bank. Gunkul Engineering's new power plant project has been lent over 4 billion baht by Mizuho and eight partnering banks in Japan, vital financial support that has been facilitated by Siam Commercial Bank (SCB). SCB has brought the parties together and worked out the details of the agreement which was finally signed in October 2016.
