A romance blossoms in Verona
Life, Tatat Bunnag, Published on 09/09/2022
» Netflix's latest original Love In The Villa seems to have all the ingredients for a good romantic comedy from a Shakespeare-inspired love story, a beautiful countryside setting, protagonists with quirky personalities, and even a sassy gay best friend who's always there to give advice to the main character. But unfortunately, Love In The Villa also has flaws that make it nothing more than another run-of-the-mill rom-com out of Netflix's assembly line.

» Jane Austen, regarded as one of the first rom-com authors, has had another classic adapted for the big screen again in Persuasion, a new period drama starring Dakota Johnson (Fifty Shades Of Grey) as an 1800s woman with modern sensibilities who has a second chance to reconnect with the love of her life she once let get away.

Life, Tatat Bunnag, Published on 23/09/2022
» Stories about the high school King and Queen, cool kids, outcasts, bullies, romance, friendships or even rivalry never get old in teen movies because there will always be a new generation who appreciate coming-of-age stories. Netflix's latest original Do Revenge is another teen comedy presented on the platform time and time again, like The Kissing Booth series, To All The Boys I've Loved Before (2018) and Tall Girl (2019).

This year was a long, winding stream
Life, Tatat Bunnag, Published on 21/12/2021
» As 2021 moves towards its fateful end, it has been another year of mostly staying home and watching movies rather than at theatres due to the never-ending pandemic. However, movie lovers in Thailand have been introduced to many different streaming services including Netflix, HBO GO and most recently Disney+ Hotstar, each featuring their own original and impressive roster of movies, series, animations and documentaries. All through this year, these services have kept us on our favourite couch at home while we enjoy their massive libraries.

Sandler's Hustle is a Euro step redemption tale
Life, Tatat Bunnag, Published on 17/06/2022
» Whether it's because he has reached a saturation point with goofy comedies, or because he's too old to lead a romantic comedy, in the past few years, Adam Sandler has turned to more mature, dramatic roles. If you've seen his ventures into indie films like Punch-Drunk Love (2002), The Meyerowitz Stories (2017) or more recently Uncut Gems (2019), you'll notice that Sandler has a dramatic side to him that's surprisingly impressive. Now Sandler's back with another dramatic turn in Hustle, a Netflix sports drama where he plays a basketball scout looking for the next great player. Hustle feels like Jerry Maguire meets Rocky. It is a heartfelt, uplifting underdog movie that also serves as a love letter to the NBA.

» The largest and most populous city in Thailand, Bangkok is well-known as a perfect tourist destination and street food paradise with plenty of friendly faces. But just like any other big city around the world, only people who actually live here understand that Bangkok can be a facade. Once more into the upside down
Life, Published on 03/06/2022
» Six years ago, Matt and Ross Duffer whipped up a perfect streaming video dessert, low on nutrition but high in sweet pop culture calories. Season 1 of their Netflix series Stranger Things was an expertly assembled and precisely calibrated souffle of Generation X nostalgia, Spielbergian family melodrama and more intense-than-expected sci-fi-horror adventure. It was a delicious, entirely guilt-free indulgence.
