Guru, Published on 23/11/2018
» Even the most casual observers of Thai beauty pageants take notice of our national costumes. Something in the water
Life, Melalin Mahavongtrakul, Published on 04/03/2019
» Rows of small glass containers fill multiple shelves along the wall. Some keep them as pets for their pure eye-candy pleasure, or get them on a fish spar to make quick cash, or selectively breed them for commercial purposes.

Energy transition confronts reality
Oped, Published on 03/02/2023
» The "energy transition" from hydrocarbons to renewables and electrification is at the forefront of policy debates nowadays. But the last 18 months have shown this undertaking to be more challenging and complex than one would think just from studying the graphs that appear in many scenarios. 2011 flood lessons go unheeded
Oped, Danny Marks, Published on 25/03/2020

The damage and losses would have been significantly lower if the Yingluck Shinawatra government had responded more effectively. While the responses needed to the coronavirus certainly differ from a mega-flood, there are numerous lessons that the current Prayut Chan-o-cha government can learn from the mistakes made during the floods and thus how to best handle a crisis.
