    • Anonymous commented : Thai ways to show respect to their husbands. With his right intention, Minister Watana is bring stormed by modern Thai feminazis for suggesting prostration for wives to show respect to their husbands. Yes, this could be done in private. What is very wrong with this suggestion? Are old Thai tradition family practices so bad that these women are willing to destroy it? What are their suggestions for the improvement of Thai family unity and future for future Thai children to learn? We could not possibly be Thais if we do not practice Thai cultural traditions and practices. Have their men treated them so badly that they are willing to deny our culture and practices to our children? Have they learnt from their mistakes and ever examine what have gone wrongs with their relationships?

What makes your marriage legal (both here and in your home country) is the marriage certificates. The ceremony can therefore be performed any way you wish - with the assistance of a Civil Celebrant. Please let me know if you would like any further information. Thanks and kind regards, Jessica Holmes Koh Samui Island Weddings Co. They obviously do not want to stay at the life standard of former centuries, to that of a developing country, forever. The bathroom of king Rama V was poorer equipped than almost any of a European lower class person. Prostrating is a personal cult. A gesture that should be, if so, performed toward god(s). In modern culture, humans treat each other as equal. Chinese have treated Mao with personal cult, North Coreans do so with Kim Yong Il, with terrible consequences. Particularly it put and puts them backwards in life standard tremendously. They only get cheated. To put it simple, Thai have cars (Bangkok has too many). One cannot take everything from western cultures, pollute the environment considerably besides, and refuse to practise human rights and equal treatment of humans. In that sense, the often abused dowry system also needs to be abolished. Or do Thai people want to go back to the lifestyle centuries ago? Have a life expectancy of several decades less? Not have a cure for so many infectious diseases?

They should have their certificate translated into English and other home language. If they have family member in Thailand, they can use their address as residency address or foreign address on ID card. You need to have someone to help you translate your conversation at the Amphur with the officials. You can find a translator at the same office where you will make certificate translation. If you are staying at a hotel, you can e-mail the manager to help make arrangement for you. Most good hotels will have this type of services.
