    • drake commented : [quote="taurus":60mardb7]Yeah Drake as far as Thaksin's wealth Go's most people with half a brain will concur , but what about the "rags to riches people" such as Bill Gates and Richard Branson , who now through sheer hard work and personnel ingenuity make billions but have to employ 10s of thousands in their never ending quest for more money ,is this somehow a crime? , I would suggest the 3 are poles apart and should hardly be tarred with the same brush! [/quote:60mardb7] Eh? Nowhere did I said that being wealthy is some how wrong or that one should not pursuit wealth. What I said was that wealth is not THE best thing in life and shouldn't be THE end all of life's pursuit. Mr.T was just a darn convenient example of FAIL and I would not insult the other two by lumping them in the same kettle. Bill 'numero dos' Gates, the third, was reasonably OK when he started. More like 'comfortable' to 'obscenely rich'. He got lucky when IBM picked Intel platform for their PC over the (better running) MOTO based box and went to him looking for an OS - which he didn't have. He even turned IBM down the first time. THEN he blew off the Internet until his mom told him it was a good thing and he had better get on with it, literally. LUCKY, that's what he is. Branson worked hard to peddle records and got rich off of the real talents of others. Now he's running around the world as a part of that self appointed World Elder thing, like, who died and left them in charge ? No thank you. Other rich ppl - Michael Dell, I don't have much to spleen about, same for Jobs or the Woz. Sultan of Brunei - All good, kinda like him for some odd reason. I mean, the ONLY problem I've got with money is that I don't have [i:60mardb7]enough[/i:60mardb7], yet.
