    When in doubt, have fun

    Life, Published on 26/07/2018

» Since opening Artist + Run in Bangkok, Angkrit Ajchariyasophon's curatorial work has somewhat supplanted his artistic practice. But the day-to-day management of his busy gallery on Narathiwas 22 and off-site exhibitions hasn't kept him from producing new works, which have been exhibited in Thailand and abroad.

    On a charge

    Life, Published on 11/10/2021

» We all know that electric cars and motorcycles are coming to the Thai market but there is a lot of speculation about whether the country is ready or not, especially regarding the current charging network and general range anxiety. For Bangkok Post readers, other big issues include handling and design.

    Exploring lesser travelled paths

Guru, Pornchai Sereemongkonpol, Published on 18/05/2018

» Ray MacDonald is a Thai-Scottish actor/model/TV host who first came into the public's radar as the eccentric co-host of Teen Talk on Channel 5 back in the 90s (sorry, if this reference makes you feel old). He went on to star in many films, commercials and appear on magazine covers. But lately, it seems he has been bitten by the travel bug and can't get over it, resulting in travel shows with unique spins that he has produced and hosted. Food Tribe on LINE TV (three new episodes from Wednesdays to Fridays), his latest effort, yet again showcases his passion for exploring the paths less travelled. He visited tribe people in different parts of the world and went super local, and by that, we mean he lived, hunted and ate with them. Though Food Tribe is half way through, we think you will miss out on something if you don't give it a look. If that doesn't make you want to watch, we spoke to Ray, too.

    Don't rain on my parade

Guru, Eric E Surbano, Published on 03/07/2020

» It's a sad twist of fate that as quarantine restrictions have lifted, the rainy season is upon us. There may be many who want to get out and about, perhaps even the introverts like me may want just a tiny bit of socialising. But don't let the rain dampen your mood. If you and your friends want to hang out and have some fun, Guru's got a few fun spots even if it's raining cats and dogs.

Good chance of being caught on the hop

Oped, Roger Crutchley, Published on 22/01/2023

» To mark this weekend's Chinese New Year celebrations for Year of the Rabbit it seems appropriate to dedicate today's column to our cuddly cottontail friends, otherwise known as bunnies. Let's hope not too many of them end up in a pie or stew. As a precaution, just be careful when you order "today's special".

News, Pattarawadee Saengmanee, Published on 22/03/2021

» Despite a drastic decline in print media consumption, 31-year-old executive Pimpicha Utsahajit has managed to enlarge the Kai Hua Ror cartoon universe from paper to various online platforms. This has provided a great opportunity to expand the reader base during the digital era.

Amusing end to an unfunny year

Life, Tatat Bunnag, Published on 01/01/2021

» The year has finally come to an end, and obviously, not many will find 2020 to be a memorable year. It would be absurd to rank which event was worse, however, sometimes when there are many bad or crazy things to recount, we should take them as something to laugh about. And that's exactly what Death To 2020, Netflix's new comedy special, is all about.

    Restaurant city

Life, Nianne-Lynn Hendricks, Published on 26/06/2020

» Covid-19 has been a challenge for the world, but never more so for the F&B industry. Most existing restaurants adapted by offering delivery or a private chef experience in the comfort of your home, while others shut shop temporarily, a few permanently. Though the pandemic brought along unknown problems for existing restaurants, it hasn't deterred a few others from starting afresh. Nothing stops the food scene in Bangkok from growing, not even a global pandemic. ELITE speaks to the people behind new restaurants, which have opened or are opening soon
