Located on Srinakarin Soi 44, the shop belongs to 25-year-old Saipin Korpenjawan, who pretty much does everything there, including melting scrap vinyls to save costs on light shades. (True story. Don't forget to look up.) As vinyl enthusiasts ourselves, we were more than thrilled to immerse ourselves in Saipin's world for a good browsing session and chat.

This is exactly why Lost In Blue is important. Lost In Blue is a collection of three short films by young Thai visionaries playing in theatres now. Last year, we interviewed one of the filmmakers, Paphawee Jinnasith, for her short Glowstick, which is also showing in this event. This year, we wanted to get to know another featured filmmaker. Guru talks to 24-year-old Aekaphong Saransate about the movie event and his film Fon.

    » With Thonglor's famous brunch quarters, Roast, relocated to its new home at the Commons, Seenspace's second floor has welcomed a new tenant, Honey. Walk through the same doors to a brand new environment: Honey has got a much brighter and open interior than the former. Aside from the pleasing white and yellow colour palette established by furniture, we adore other subtle cues ascribing to the life of bees. Look closely at the white wallpaper around the bar, for instance, and you'll see the hexagonal pattern of honeycomb. Look up, and there's more geometry, this time alluding to flora from which bees collect the saccharine precursor to honey. Most inconspicuous of all are the overhead lights' assorted encasements. The owner tells us the spherical cages and cylindrical shades are inspired by beekeepers' headgear.
