BOI hosts the first APEC IEG meeting of 2022

» As part of Thailand’s chairmanship of the APEC meetings in 2022, under the theme “Open. Connect. Balance.”, the Thailand Board of Investment (BOI), as Thailand’s main investment agency, hosted during 14 – 15 February 2022 the first meeting of the year of the APEC Investment Experts’ Group (IEG), which is a Working Group at the Senior Officials’ level. Participants to the meeting discussed recent developments in the field of investment in member economies, and exchanged views about APEC’s Investment Facilitation Action Plan (IFAP), the Agreement on Investment Facilitation for Development, negotiated under the World Trade Organization (WTO), and the development of investments under the Bio – Circular – Green (BCG) Model, which is Thailand’s national agenda and is at the core of the country’s policy as APEC Chair this year.
