After receiving unending praise since its debut at Cannes Film Festival, Visages Villages (Faces Places), a documentary directed by Agnès Varda and JR, will finally be screening in Bangkok this month. The film documents the adventures of 89-year-old Agnès Varda, a leading figure in French New Wave films, and 33-year-old JR, a French photographer and muralist, as they go through France meeting locals, learning stories and creating epic artworks. » 1Coffee lovers are in for a treat this weekend as Away Magazine in collaboration with Lhong 1919 will be hosting their first ever Bangkok Coffee Cult event. Coming from an urge to organise a small get-together of Bangkok's best cafés, Bangkok Coffee Cult, which takes place until tomorrow, will engage people in the science and culture of coffee. At the grounds of Lhong 1919, baristas from Blue Whale, Casa Lapin, Duck You Caferista and many more will be there to serve some of their newest signature drinks. There will also be tastings of coffee cocktails and activities like coffee pairings. Bangkok Coffee Cult takes place from 11am-7pm at Lhong 1919. Tickets cost 200 baht, and can be traded for a cup of coffee at any participating café.
