» 1. After a dozen years as one of Thailand's premier shopping centres, Siam Paragon is celebrating its latest anniversary with their extensive "Siam The Great Celebration" campaign. It's made up of multiple smaller events set to be held until Jan 15 next year. Examples of the events featured include a pop-up installation from Miu Miu fashion brand, an exhibition of French jewellery brand Cartier's special Cartier Red Box and a Harry Potter-themed "Christmas In The Wizarding World" retail experience. There will also be various special promotions and discounts for shoppers throughout the campaign's duration.

» 1. BTS passengers take note: Have you experienced bruised hips and discomfort when the mechanical barriers at the entrance hit you if you walk past them just a tad too slow? A campaign has started at change.org, a petition website, to demand the operators of BTS to modify its entrance system that basically doesn't snap at passengers -- something that will relieve parents with children or senior people from unduly worry. The campaign message cites Japan and other countries that use more passenger-friendly turnstiles. So far, nearly 4,000 people have signed for the campaign.

» 1 Enjoy a bit of history and music at 7pm on April 20 at the Bangkok Art & Culture Centre (BACC), as Opera Siam in co-operation with the embassies of Israel and Germany present the Diary Of Anne Frank Opera, a monodramatic opera piece written by Grigori Frid that follows the story of the original Diary Of Anne Frank. Kaleigh Rae Gamaché will perform as Anne Frank, accompanied by the Siam Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Singapore's rising star Adrian Tan.
