Anonymous commented : for Asian girls and women to arrive in developed countries with some type of visas, then they are actually pursuing some foreign for husbands. I am thinking that she either very ignorant and or very unattractive person. On the other hand, her family could steal somethings and or on the verge of bankruptcy.?

Anonymous commented : good grounds. I think you can arrive here and propably get 30 day visa on arrival. Then you can after that 30 days make a trip to Laos or Cambodia to make a tourist visa for 60 days. If you need to stay longer period you can try to get 1 year non-immigrant visa it requires a deposit of about 800.000 baht for 3 months in a thai bank. You can always ask from immigration officials. i have found the best service to be in tourist areas like Pattaya or Bangkok. The worst service was in Kanchanaburi and Nong Khai. To marry you have to show paper that you are not married in your home country and propably translate it into thai by local notary. The are lots of agencies helping to do that, try to pick those ones which actually hire members of thai lawyers association since in Thailand anyone can appear as a lawyer. As a foreigner you will face some legal procedures, but believe me, normally you get through the legal hurdles quite easily - when you have money to pay for the services. Doing things legally in Thailand always takes 3times more but its worth it. Keep your money on your bank account, your flat under your name and so on. First some might say that its impossible but its not. Take care. Best of luck. Sam

Anonymous commented : n being supported Before they arrive in America on visa. He had wanted a fiancee visa, but was told by the sister and husband that this was impossible because of her age---26---and because her job as a family nanny---previously she worked in a karoke bar and was supposedly going to accounting school...for the year when she and my son corresponded. My son thought, and still occasionally thinks that maybe, there is a translation problem...as now all she talks about is money and his obligations...and that he is selfish for only sending her 2-250 bahts a month...he was saving for wedding, visas, fixing up his house for her, etc. He told them he wasn't a rich farang, just a 20ish architectural draftsman, starting his own business. This whole situation is making him sick---first believing she loves him, then believing she has someone new lined up. Any clues? It was when she started withdrawing money from a bank in Bangkok while claiming she was in Khon Kaen that he demanded answers...she claims the bank is crazy...though they've checked twice, and she claims it was from a Bangkok St in Khon Khan...but when he asked her to withdraw from that account again, she refused. Any hope? His sister who once travelled alone to Thailand recently, had all her money stolen by a man she thought was a Thai friend the first day in the country; then had a marijuana leave planted in her backpack on a train, when she left it to go to the bathroom which a Thai lady warned her about, so she was able to extricate it---and sure enough 15 mintues later a couple police came through asking to check inside luggage. This is a long letter, sorry, but we have no one to turn to. So far no one here knows any Thai law...at the law school...

Anonymous commented : home state just before spring arrives. Phetchaburi got my vote on the varieties of fruits. Is this the place that is well known for "kanom-mor-gang" ( egg & coconut milk baked custard) ? If "yes" then it would be double blessing for me it I call Phetchaburi my home. What I intend to do when I go to TL for my retirement. I'll going places where you kindly mentioned in this post. Top on the list are Phetchaburi, Ranong, Korat and Roi-Et ( even though you said the weather is too dry or too hot). I'll give it a try. I'll grade according to my likeness. At the end, which town got the most points would surly become my retirement Shangri-La . Khun Rooster, All not gone without saying my gratitude and appreciation

Anonymous commented : ng. He doesn’t want to arrive there and get into any trouble. Apparently, she really did a number on him and he doesn’t trust her at all. He really is truly afraid that she may send him to jail should he show up there and not give her what she wants. If he should get into any type of trouble, at the very least, it would compromise his career which is something that he doesn’t want. Please understand, I don’t know anything about “Thai women.” I am not saying they are all bad, and to be honest, I don’t even really know too much about this woman. I just want to help my husband find his son.

Anonymous commented : ld easily turn on him when he arrives back with her here in the west. The Thai community in the west is tightly knit and highly connected. They know all the 'tricks' as they come from a country that is well rehearsed in avoiding and manipulating sistuations concerning laws, in order to gain maximun benifit. Again I state this is not all Thai people, although the majority would know what I'm talking about. Unless Thai fully intergrate into western society they enevitably fall back on their communities methods of avoidence of rule of law even here in the west.. Many may debate me on this but I know from experience that Thai communities in the West are not stupid. What they lack in not understanding the western social system is made up for in terms of fully understanding what the laws can offer them and at present it offers them a hell of lot more security and room to manipulate rahter than what is offered to the ex-pats trying to survive in their own country. This is often disreguarded as nearly all Thai I come across, even the ones living here still assume all westerners are rich and that they don't have the same connection to family values as Thais have. This is where they fall down because in many cases Thais are reluctant even within their new homelands to assimilate with the locals because of the very open nature of westerners, they do'nt seem to handle our non pulsed attitude to their cherished notion of FACE. We are all human and deserve the right as Thais have been given in Australia to our democratic right to 'self determination'. A Thai with PR status is not referred to as an ALIEN.!! They are accepted into main stream society. This is the difference. This all Thai people know. Yet do you think they accept the reverse. LOL I look forward to hearing from any unbiased Thais to what I have written. I know the 'tricks' of cheating as I've experienced them many times over. It's strange that many Thais view cheating as a viable option in many circumstances.??
