» บริเวณถนนประชาราษฎร์บำเพ็ญ ถูกขนานนามว่าเป็น “ไชน่าทาวน์ แห่งที่ 2” ของกรุงเทพฯ เมื่อ 2-3 ปีก่อน ตลอดทางตั้งแต่ต้นซอยจนถึงท้ายซอยเต็มไปด้วยร้านอาหารจีน ร้านหม่าล่า ชาบู มินิมาร์ท ซุปเปอร์มาร์เก็ตจีน ร้านนวดแผนโบราณ คาเฟ่ โรงเรียนสอนภาษาอังกฤษ-จีน ฯลฯ โดยตกแต่งและมีป้ายชื่อร้านเป็นภาษาจีนขนาดใหญ่ แม้ว่าในปี 2567 ที่ผ่านมาจะพบว่าธุรกิจในย่านนี้ทยอยปิดกิจการลง เพราะติดขัดเรื่องการขออนุญาต หลังสำนักงานเขตห้วยขวาง เข้ามากวดขันตรวจสอบและพบว่าส่วนใหญ่เป็นธุรกิจที่ลงทุนโดยชาวจีน จึงออกคำสั่งให้ทุกร้านต้องทำใบอนุญาต แต่ ณ ปัจจุบันยังคงพบเห็นว่า ร้านอาหาร ร้านค้าต่าง ๆ ยังคงมีไม่ต่ำกว่า 50 ร้าน ยังไม่รวมที่กระจายตัวออกไปตามย่านต่าง ๆ บนถนนรัชดาภิเษก หรือย่านพระราม 9 และอื่น ๆ การเข้ามาของคนจีนสะท้อนอยู่หลายเรื่อง และมีความต่างจากชาวจีนยุคแรก สมัยเยาวราชเฟื่องฟู อีกทั้งยังสะท้อนถึงวัฒนธรรมความเป็นอยู่ที่มักจะอยู่รวมกันเป็นกลุ่มPublished caption : Restaurants and shops along Pracha Rat Bamphen Road in Huai Khwang district, which is dubbed the second Chinatown in Bangkok, record fewer Chinese guests as the market drops after the Songkran festival.
